⚠️ Porsche PDK Gearbox Issues
The 7-speed and 8-speed PDK fitted to 911, Cayenne, Macan and Panamera is a high-precision dual-clutch system. Hesitation, shuddering or harsh shifts — especially in slow Dubai traffic — are often early signs of fluid degradation or mechatronic wear. Regular PDK fluid changes and adaptation resets prevent the majority of failures.
⚠️ Porsche PASM Air Suspension
Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) air suspension fitted to Cayenne and Panamera can develop compressor, air strut and valve block faults in Dubai's heat. Symptoms include uneven ride height, warning lights and a compressor that runs continuously. We diagnose and repair PASM systems with quality replacement components.
⚠️ Porsche IMS Bearing (Older 911)
The Intermediate Shaft (IMS) bearing on 996 and 997-generation 911 models with the M96/M97 engine is a known weak point. Bearing failure causes catastrophic engine damage. We inspect and upgrade the IMS bearing on affected vehicles before failure occurs — far more cost-effective than a full engine rebuild.
⚠️ PCCB Ceramic Brake Wear (GT3 / Turbo)
Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) fitted to GT3, GT3 RS and Turbo models are track-capable but can develop surface cracking or uneven wear from Dubai's frequent track days and spirited driving. We inspect PCCB discs for hairline cracking and glazing, and give an honest read on whether a disc genuinely needs replacing or is still within normal wear tolerance.
⚠️ Cayenne & Panamera PDCC Pump Failure
The hydraulic pump for Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) active roll stabilisation on Cayenne and Panamera can fail, triggering a chassis warning and disabling active roll control. We diagnose via PIWIS III before quoting — the pump itself is often the fault, not the more expensive roll bars or actuators.
⚠️ Carrera 3.0T Intercooler Pipe Faults
The plastic intercooler pipes on the 3.0-litre twin-turbo Carrera engines can crack or split under Dubai's under-bonnet heat, causing a loss of boost pressure and a check-engine light. We inspect these pipes as standard during any turbo-related diagnostic visit.
